An... unusual game, but one which I certainly enjoyed for a while after getting my first "PC" (IBM-style) computer. This came, as another poster mentioned, as a bundled item with a Packard Bell Legend. It's hardly "impressive" but it's fun, as long as you don't mind that "Myst-style" stepping-slideshow movement model.

The general idea is that you're actually controlling a probe in another universe, which somehow managed to get "confused" with your PC, thus you're controlling this probe to influence events in that other universe.

The gameplay is more akin to turn-based strategy, or turn-based RPGs, then it is to a real-time game. In fact, the closest example to this in more recent years is the DooM RPG game which was available on Java-based cell phones (I had it on my Motorola Razr V3).

Don't expect too much, but yeah, it's a decent way to waste some time, and the story is entertaining if you'll allow yourself to suspend your disbelief.

@Kit.McGath Ok, I know it's incredibly unlikely that you will ever see this, but I have the original CDs for both C.H.A.O.S Continuum for Windows 3.1 as well as and Megarace. If you want them we can figure it out somehow.

Good times! The music was awesome! It picks up after the first part.

Just have to note, this game was also available for Windows 3.11/WFW, as long as you had QuickTime installed. I played this in 1994 when Dad got his new brand new Packard Bell 620CD... (good old PB Navigator)... I have yet to find anywhere that has that version of it, though! Shame I lost the software bundles for it back in 2005 during a move... I also lost a copy of "Megarace" and "MYST", along with a CD containing JetFighter 2 and some other games in their non-shareware forms.
