NoCD showed very low detection ratio on VirusTotal, here's the scan report. All warnings are generic, about suspicious/unsafe file, it is usual case with NoCD/NoDVD files, it is safe to use

The game with NoCD and dgVoodoo has been tested on Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 10, it works fine. You may experience some small troubles when you play the game on modern systems, check Notes for details

Notes:

• For unknown reason, the installer of the game doesn't work on modern systems, it simply closes after few seconds. To play the game use our Full-Rip, it is an archive with full pre-installed game, it includes NoCD and dgVoodoo for the stable work. The installer works only in Windows XP or older systems, so if you want to install the game from original discs, you will need to use Virtual Machine with old Windows
• If the game doesn't start - try to launch it in compatibility mode with old version of Windows (Windows 98, XP, etc.) and as administrator. To do it right-click on HelloKitty.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility and set the compatibility settings
• It is recommended to install all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and NET Framework for the correct work of the game. Also it is recommended to install K-Lite Codec Pack for the correct work of in-game videos
• The game works on DirectX 7, so if you're using Windows 8, 8.1, 10 or 11 - you need to enable DirectPlay: Go to Control Panel, and select 'Programs'. Select 'Turn Windows features on and off', click on 'Legacy Components' and check the box 'DirectPlay'. Select OK, once the installation is done, restart your computer
• NoCD is required for the launch because the game is using SafeDisc DRM protection, which doesn't work correctly on modern systems. NoCD "cracks" DRM protection and allows to run the game without the disc
• The game has no framerate cap! There's no framerate limit in the game, so on modern systems it works very fast, with over 1000 FPS, which makes the game literally unplayable. You need to cap the framerate of the game to play it, the best way is to run the game through dgVoodoo with enabled FPS Limit. To use it copy the dll-files from the MS/x86 folder, dgVoodooCpl.exe and dgVoodoo.conf to the game folder, open dgVoodoo.conf, find the line FPSLimit and enter FPSLimit = 60; after that run the game from HelloKitty.exe. If you want to change dgVoodoo settings - open dgVoodoo Control Panel (dgVoodooCpl.exe)
• Alternatively, you can try to limit the game's framerate with one of framerate limit utilities
• If you want to run the game in Widescreen resolution, the best way is to use dgVoodoo and enable a new resolution in dgVoodoo Control Panel (dgVoodooCpl.exe). Another method is to HeX-edit executable file like in this guide. Please note that in both cases the game's UI and videos will be stretched
• Also, with dgVoodoo you can play the game with anti-aliasing and texture filtering, it can be selected in dgVoodoo Control Panel in DirectX tab (dgVoodooCpl.exe)
• If you have problem with broken sound effects or disappearing sound - first try to change the sound settings. If it didn't work - set sound quality to 24 bit, 48000 Hz or 24 bit, 44100 Hz. Read this guide how to do that
• The Russian version of the game has another installer that works on Windows 7 and newer OS, and Russian version is DRM-Free. If you install Russian version of the game, you antivirus may trigger on Catalog.exe inside the folder with installed game. It showed many warnings on VirusTotal scan, it is "trash" file left by the publisher, you can delete it, it is not required for the launch of the game
