Disclaimer for those who like playing old games on old hardware, this game will not work properly on Windows XP 64-Bit. Not sure about 32-Bit.
It will work well on Windows 10 and higher however.

LION and SANSDANCE, if you're using Windows 10, just double click the ISO and it will mount like a real CD.

"Dababy 100% not real", thanks for the no CD tip, so I'll reconstruct it (and I'm OK with the bad english, by the way, thanks for advising):
1. Using a hex editor, open "LEGO Island 2.exe";
2. Search the address 842C then change 0F 85 to EB 48;
3. Search the address 8478 then change 0F 84 82 00 00 00 to 90 90 90 90 90 90;
4. Save the file;
5. Run the game.
Note: I won't use this, but I reconstructed it for other people.

Open "LEGO Island 2.exe"
Click "Search" "Go to..."
Type in 842C
Click "OK"
If the data after the cursor is 0F 85, change it to EB 48
Click "Search" "Go to..."
Type in 8478
Click "OK"
If the data after the cursor is 0F 84 82 00 00 00, change it to 90 90 90 90 90 90
Save the file.
Run the game.

No its not easy to install at all, if you are not a computer nerd. it says I need to insert the CD to play. And Im trying to use Hex editor as suggested, to fix that issue, but the instrucions from the links you have posted are missing important bits of well instructions on how to do it. my hex editor wont let me edit bytes. says access denied. and then everyone stops giving answers because were considered too dumb to understand it. just tell us what to click. I just want to play this game, not do some extreme coding and mods.

Installing the game is pretty easy now since it's just an ISO, but you can just mount the ISO file with Windows File Explorer and you go into the 'Lego Island 2' folder in the root and run the setup and it'll install like normal.
Head over to https://rockraidersunited.com/topic/7381-li2-mod-manager/ to install the LI2 Mod Manager, it already comes with some mods and you can change the resolution using this. There are some additional mods on the page you can download as well if you want, but if doing so remember that this is Version English 2 just in case a mod has different versions.
If you want to run it without the ISO file being mounted you can download HxD using https://mh-nexus.de/en/downloads.php?product=HxD20 and following the instructions here https://rockraidersunited.com/topic/8976-do-you-guys-have-any-lego-island-2-no-cd-patch/?do=findComment&comment=140640

If you struggle with strange ingame physics and sped up animationspeeds (e.g. the desert-race):
some of the game-mechanics and physics are tied to the game fps. if you use nvidia you can setup a custom screen resolution and monitor Hz rate to 30Hz in the nvidia settings. In fullscreen the ingame v-sync will lock the fps to 30 and correct the ingame-physics.
don't forget to change the settings back after your game-session ;D

Installed perfectly on windows 10, could not get it to work on xp.
Enjoyed it a lot but hot terribly nauseous during the dinosaur level. Will try again once I recover.

Try mounting the Lego Island 2 ISO Image.
The game acts like the ISO is the CD Drive.
Otherwise, use LI2 Mod Manager.

After installation I have also copied ALL files from virtual rom into the game folder. Haven't replaced existing files (skipped). So I don't know if there's any use to this, but in case my previous comment doesn't help, try this too :)

Have renamed bin inside cue file as suggested above. Mounted. Set attribute "run as administrator" and "windows XP service pack 3" compatible for virtual rom's installation exe. Installed as administrator to disk C:

I used to play this a ton when I was younger. Very fun at the time. Goofy and weird. Nothing like the original game but this was very cool. I loved the jungle area. The one thing I hated was the LONGGGG LOAADD TIMEESSS and somehow it still is a thing even when mounted to an SSD and everything it just takes so long to load!

I can get to the game menu but when I click the play button nothing happens. Same with the install button. The exit and manual buttons work but not the play button.

For anyone who is having trouble installing this game, 1st make sure you are using a program for mounting ISO such as daemon tools or power ISO. extract with winrar next open "eup-li2.cue" with notepad.
On the 1st line you will see- FILE "IMAGE.BIN" BINARY you must change this to whatever your .bin file is named, in this case the command line should look like this..
FILE "eup-li2.bin" BINARY
Save as and rename to whatever you want with .cue ex: eup-li3.cue
if it gets saved as a .txt do a quick google search how to enable file extentions
and change the file you just modified to .cue
mount and have fun :)

Hi there, I downloaded the files and loaded them into powerISO to retrieve the .exe files, however it still asks me to place the CD in my computer when I run the .exe file? Can anyone help me?

Matthew, if the download is an ISO file (like with Lego Island 1) try mounting it using a program like PowerISO. Once mounted, you can check what the ISO file contains and may be able to find a .exe file.
For your info, an ISO file acts like a virtual CD. Programs like PowerISO create a virtual CD drive for your PC which you can 'mount' an ISO file to. This has the same effect as entering a legit gaming CD into your computers CD drive and will allow you to play the game by going to My Computer, right clicking on the Lego Island 2 CD and selecting Open. My apologies if you have already attempted this.
