Description of Manhunter: New York
Manhunter 1 and 2 are two Sierra cult classics with a no-typing interface. As a manhunter working for orb-shaped aliens, find and join the underground movement to free the earth from slavery. Sleuthing skills (e.g. tracking down suspects and deducing their names) are integrated with lots of action sequences.
Manhunter 2 has less frustrating arcade sequences (and fewer mazes). Solid underdogs, but not for the faint of heart or anyone who is reflexes-impaired. Thumbs up!

What an intense game. The storyline is great and there are some truly gruesome visuals. The gameplay is VERY difficult, though. Recommended for hard-core gamers and sci-fi fans.

(The screenshots don't make justice to the game, the DOS EGA version is much better despite the VERY limited number of colors)
A good game if you like its kind of grisly humour.
Some of the animations are really disgusting (in a funny way): animated corpses, gruesome deaths...
The game is a mix of point and click and small arcade games, some of those are ANNOYING. But overall, the game is not too difficult.
The scanner sequences are a nice touch (and very original): you get to see a record of previous events from a 2D "xray-ed" bird-view, then you must visit the place and find in the decor what happened during the simplified 2D sequences. For instance: a suspect enters a room, goes to the 3 stall, then disappears, how? It's up to you to find how he managed to do what should be impossible.
