Description of Saboteur
This is fan-made remake of a classic action platform game Saboteur from ZX Spectrum, developed by fans of original game. It features new updated graphics, new sound effects and reimagined gameplay. Authors of remake slightly changed & remade several levels from original game and combined them into one big level, now it reminds something in the style of Metroidvania games.
Unfortunately, due to the fact that the game was created by a small team, the game has no music at all

I don't think it's that bad. It's weird and jank, but some of this jank is because of following the original too closely - and original Saboteur was a massively ambitious game for the time, before we figured out how to do sidescrolling beatemups or metroidvanias.
Also taking assets from other games was 100% normalized for fangames at the time. The problem isn't taking assets from multiple games, it's how poorly they fit together - I noticed that even when I played this as a little kid, some assets are in full color, some are EGA 16-color assets from games like Bio Menace. Most enemies are from Blackthorne, most of the sounds are from Rise of the Triad (though not credited).

So yeah... I haven't played the original Saboteur but yes. This game is bad. Not "The Room Movie Bad", but almost. So if you're curious about it like me, is okey if you give it a try. Is the best way to understand the "quality" of this game.
It works in W10 but I must warn you: There is an option for the game speed; It reads: "CPU speed", which normaly you choose the higher values for more powerful processors to optimize. Not in this case, I guess the DOS version works that way, but the Windows version is the other way around. The Higher the value, the faster the game goes. Don't play it on the fastest value, you will ruin your experience. You're here to play a bad game intended to be "okey". Not an unplayable one.
Also there are a few assets not credited by the author. I have seen things from "Tyrian" (In the damn intro in fact) and Shadow Caster. Maybe there are a few ones more. Don't care honestly. I get a few chuckles and frustation with the awkward gameplay and that's it.

Oh my gosh. This is the "Limbo of the Lost" of fan-made remakes. Maybe not. Maybe you can have actual fun with this game instead of having fun OF THIS GAME JANK AND MASSIVE PLAGIARISM. Well, I will concede that the author has the decency of admiting the plagiarism AND probabily was freeware, so that is fine and understandable in most cases with fan-made games.
... Maybe I should try if the Windows version works in my W10.
PD: Myabandonware, where is my damn "Limbo of the Lost"!?
